A little more snow, but it hasn’t slowed down any work. If you'd like to see more current pictures of the construction, go to our Facebook page at Facebook.com/DenverVAMC.

FAST FACTS ON CONSTRUCTION

  • Over 736,000 man hours have been worked on the project since September 2011.
  • Slightly under 2,000 tons of structural steel have been placed on the project, accounting for approx. 23% of the total tons of steel on the project.
  • Approximately 73% of the drilled piers have been placed.
  • Overall construction completion is now at 17.6%.

OTHER CONSTRUCTION UPDATES

Solid progress is being made on the Colorado Springs Clinic. We’ve been moving dirt since mid-November, and now we’ve moved into the next phase of construction.

Foundation excavation began in early January. We started the concrete foundation form work shortly afterward, and the foundation footings have been progressing since then. And while the severe weather that Colorado Springs endured in mid-to-late February has slightly affected the pace of the concrete work, we’re still on schedule to open in 2014.
