Academic Partners

The Eastern Colorado Healthcare System is primarily affiliated with the University of Colorado School of Medicine. We offer residency training in all major medical and surgical specialties and subspecialties (to include the Marcus Institute for Brain Health). Associated Health Training is offered in nursing, psychology, audiology, social work, dietetics, and pharmacy.

Each year, ECHCS supports the training of over 120 residents.  In addition, approximately 450 medical students rotate through the facility for their clinical experiences. The education department coordinates the rotation of over 370 nursing students from local schools (UCHSC, Regis, CCD, Front Range, and Arapahoe Vocational).  The medical center also provides training opportunities for paraprofessional and allied health students and is affiliated with 20 academic institutions, providing training in several different services.
