Situation Update

As of Wednesday, February 3, 2021 8:40 AM MST

VA has a comprehensive plan in place to protect the health of everyone who receives care or works at one of our facilities. Using an abundance of caution, all VA medical facilities are implementing screening measures for signs of respiratory illness and exposure to COVID-19. This protocol will be in place until further notice. Onsite, we will use standardized screening questions at strategic entry points. As many of you may have experienced, we have largely gone to virtual care and have begun to increase our inperson services. Please use MyHealtheVet for routine matters. We have also updated our visitor guidelines and encourage you to become familiar with them prior to visiting any of our sites of care. Effective January 20, 2021, visitors are largely restricted unless the visitor is considered a medically necessary caregiver as defined by ADA guidelines. We will be allowing limited visitors for COVID negative Veterans in inpatient care. Not included in our inpatient services for the visitor policy changes are Mental Health, Spinal Cord Injury and Disorder Unit, the Community Living Center in Pueblo, Co and Valor Point. Please read the full guidelines here. We appreciate your cooperation and patience during this time.
