We consider our volunteers’ valuable members of the Health Care team and encourage all individuals who meet the requirements, and wish to support our nation’s Veterans, to apply for volunteer positions at any of our locations. While many of our volunteers work directly with patients and families, there are those that choose to work behind the scenes.
No matter where you would like to help, our on-boarding process will be able to assist in matching you to the perfect position. VA Eastern Colorado is fortunate to have many community members who are eager to become involved!

Red Coat Ambassador Program
We are excited to present a new volunteer opportunity at the VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System. It's called the Red Coat Ambassador Program and it represents the VA’s commitment to providing the best possible Patient Experience to Veterans & family members using our health care system.
Volunteers who take part in this new program will have the opportunity to be the first friendly face to Veterans, families and guests as they arrive at our facility. Ambassadors will provide information on appointment and staff locations so Veterans can more easily navigate our facility. When a Veteran has a problem that they can’t solve on their own, Ambassadors will be there to provide customer service and recovery.
The Red Coat Ambassador program will be an important new service to our Veterans when we open the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center in 2018. If you’d like to be a part of this new and exciting program to help our Veterans, fill out our application and questionnaire, and let us know!
