VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System
VA is providing the Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) vaccines, as authorized by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Supply varies by facility. Get more information about COVID-19 vaccines at VA.
We are working to vaccinate as many eligible individuals as quickly as possible.
Easier access to vaccines and more people eligible
VA is adding walk-in COVID-19 vaccinations at all VA facilities and outpatient clinics that offer COVID-19 vaccines. Please check hours for vaccination clinics.
Congress has passed a law which allows us to offer COVID-19 vaccines to the following groups who are eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine:
- Spouse of a Veteran
- Caregivers of a Veteran
- Recipients of Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Department of Veterans Affairs (CHAMPVA) benefits
If you don't receive care at VA, we encourage you to pre-register online at least one hour before you go, to save time when you arrive. While at VA you will need to wear a face mask, and physical distancing measures will be in place. For more about vaccinations at VA, visit: www.va.gov/covidvaccine.
Note: Your employer, pharmacy, or local public health officials may offer you a COVID-19 vaccine. We encourage you to take the first opportunity you have to get a vaccine at the most convenient location for you.

COVID19 vaccine information
VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System (ECHCS) is pleased to announce that we have opened eligibility for the COVID-19 vaccine to all enrolled and eligible Veterans.
If you are interested in receiving your COVID-19 vaccine you may schedule an appointment when checking in for your next VA appointment or you may call our call center at 888-336-8262. Please note, our call center has been receiving higher than normal call volume and you may experience long hold times. The call center is open 24/7 and shorter hold times may be experienced by calling after 6 p.m. and before 8 a.m.
If you are able to receive your vaccine in the community sooner, please do so. We know that this is a personal decision and we encourage eligible Veterans to get vaccinated against COVID-19 when a vaccine is available to them. VA respects and understands that some people may prefer a particular vaccine due to a variety of reasons. However, due to the limited supply of vaccines currently available, facilities may not be able to offer more than one vaccine manufacturer at this time.
Congress has passed a new law that allows VA to offer COVID-19 vaccines to more Veterans, some spouses, and caregivers of Veterans. While VA works to implement this law, please let us know if your loved ones or caregivers are interested by signing up at www.va.gov/health-care/covid-19-vaccine/stay-informed. We appreciate your patience as we prepare to offer more vaccines. If you know a Veteran who would like to enroll in VA health care, please direct them to www.va.gov/health-care/how-to-apply/.
Thank you for your service and thank you for choosing VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System for your health care needs.
